THE ORB

THE ORB are an English electronic music group known for popularizing chill out music in the 1990s and spawning the genre of ambient house. Founded in 1988 by Alex Paterson and KLF member Jimmy Cauty, The Orb began as ambient and dub DJs in London. Their early performances were inspired by ambient producers, most notably Brian Eno, and German artists such as Kraftwerk. Because of their �trippy� sound, they developed a cult following among
clubbers �coming down� from drug-induced highs. Despite many personnel changes, Alex Paterson has maintained The Orb�s science fiction themes and visually-intensive live performances.
Their frequent use of unlicensed samples has been a source of contention and legal disputes with other record labels and artists. The Orb achieved most of their commercial success in the early and mid-1990s. They produced four UK top ten singles, including �Blue Room�, �Little Fluffy Clouds�, �Pomme Fritz�, and �Toxygene�, which peaked at #4. Albums by The Orb have appeared on the UK Albums Chart, including U.F.Orb, which reached number one in the U.K. in 1992. Also contributing to their popularity is the high number of tracks they have remixed for high-profile artists such as Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, and Mika Nakashima as well as appearances on Top of the Pops and at Woodstock �94. Their releases of the early 2000s met with limited critical support before shifting to a minimalist sound, spearheaded by Orb member Thomas Fehlmann.
A shift in labels was in order so 2004's Bicycles & Tricycles found the Orb on Sanctuary. Working their next label change into the album title, Okie Dokie It's the Orb on Kompakt appeared at the end of 2005, as did the rarities compilation Orb Sessions, Vol. 1, which was released by the Killing Joke associated label Malicious Damage. A new album will see the daylight around the time of this concert !

JUNO REACTOR is a musical and performing act known for the cinematic fusion of electronic, orchestral and global music, The Matrix score and other film works like Mortal Kombat, Once about the time in Mexico,� Central to the project is Ben Watkins and his collaborations with countrymen Amampondo, Eduardo Niebla, Steve Stevens, Greg Ellis, Taz Alexander and Ghetto Priest. Originally Juno Reactor was formed as an art project in 1990; Ben Watkins wanted to collaborate with other artist to produce and be involved in exciting projects that where not commercially driven. He wanted to create experimental music/ non musical soundtracks that would work with installations, art pieces and film projects.
HILIGHT TRIBE
(Kosmic Hoboes, France)
are the creators of a new musical genre they call �natural trance�. The group has broken all the rules by creating truly acoustic techno/trance music, played live without the help of any machines. Their expert musicianship and wide range of influences (African, Indian, Dub, World Music, Psychedelic Trance) allows these 5 musicians and their talented sound engineer to succeed at the insane challenge of creating 100% instrumental trance music. They have opened the door to a whole new genre of music.
And now they bring us the album �Trancelucid� : a mature opus, some would say. Hilight Tribe seems to have found its cruise velocity. Their alchemy of instrumental dexterity linked to an optimized sound finally match with our initial goals. Ten years ago, I remember telling the band "Keep on working this way, I!ll tell you when we're there." Now here it is, I recognize what I was waiting for: the adventure is ready to begin!
GHETTO PRIEST

Ghetto Priest is one of the most flamboyant, creative performers to have emerged from the London music scene in the past few years. Ghetto Priest born and raised to Afro-Caribbean parents has been on the reggae/Dub/experimental music scene now for over 2 decades. He has been a mainstay of the �On U Sound� camp where he was backing vocalist, and percussionist for the band African Headcharge. His vocal talents came to the ear of David Harrow aka Technova aka James Hardway who released two Jazz/D&B: albums �Straight from fridge� & �Big Casino� featuring the vocal talents of Ghetto Priest.
In 2004 Ghetto Priest released his critically acclaimed debut album with producer Adrian Sherwood (On U Sound), titled �Vulture Culture�, three tracks from this album: �Rise Up�, �masters of deception�, and �Visionary� are used for sound tracks for the film: �Johnny Was� starring Vinny Jones. In the same year Ghetto Priest was called upon by dub/punk/rock outfit Asian Dub Foundation, for services rendered on a world wide known track titled �Fortress Europe�, for their album �Enemy of the enemy�; video included. Around the same year Asian Dub Foundation asked Ghetto Priest to be their front man to which he obliged. He toured with ADF globally for four years captivating audiences with his vocal and mystical stage presence. During the time of the invasion of Iraq, Asian Dub Foundation released an album titled �TANK�, of which GP�S vocal & writing services were an integral part.
During the making of the ADF �TANK� album, at the renown Ridge Farm recording studio, GP met up with composer Ben Watkins (Juno Reactor), who asked if GP was into doing a track with him. The outcome was a few tracks: City of the Sinful, Inca Steppa, Tokyo and Mind of the Free which can all be found on the Juno Reactor album �Gods & Monsters�.

Wicked Hayo are Dan and Morad based in Gent, Belgium. They have worked together on the Whicked Hayo project for over five years. Appearing on numerous compilations from Night Oracle Records (Greece) , Ketuh Records (Austria) and many others, plus the Fullmoon Festival 2006 DVD (Circuit VIII/BNE, Israel), their sound is well-known � yet still strangely alien � to lovers of night-time trance sounds. They have worked with many of the dark and tribal scene's biggest names, including Azax Syndrome, Psykovsky, Hilight Tribe, Secret Vibes, Claw, CPC and others.
Whicked Hayo have appeared at most of world's leading festivals, including Trancedence Festival, Fullmoon Festival, Antaris Festival and Transylvania Calling. Their relentless audio rampage � bombarding the dancefloor with the unexpected � creates an incomparable atmosphere, which has established them firmly at the top of the Belgian dark scene, and is a hit wherever they go.
