Shades of Gray
The project Shades of Gray is the brainchild of Beef Records managers Michal Ruzicka (dj Schwa) and Nick West.
Their first Vinyl release – Simplicity (released in 2007), drew attention from Djs and producers such as Hernan Cattaneo, D-Nox, Nick and John Dalagelis, Pena, Guy J and more. Early in 2008, four of their tracks were picked up by Mutekki label founder Juergen Dreissen. These tracks were released on a 12” vinyl with German label Plus Minus (aka Mutekki ) and achieved great success reaching the top 10 of the Beatport tech house chart and #3 on decks.de vinyl sales chart.
Shades have also shown a talent for remixing. Already cutting edits for some of the bigger names in the business including Ramon Tapia, Moonbeam and Deepchild. This has also been reciprocated with some great remixes by the likes of Alex Kenji, MOS, Hirtenfellner and Moonbeam to name a few.

SOG take us into a deep hipnotic journey, a monotonic melodic stab drives all the way throughout the track while piano chords and strings are played along into a very jam session style, very moody and musical.

Like no other, Tapia just rocked this one out once again. A fat dubby and deep tech house bomb. Dancefloor oriented but so dopey and subby. Thumbs up Ramon!

After winning the Dj Awards for Best Ibiza 2009 Resident Dj, Tomas manipulated the original into a very clubby dub house affair.
