The Man Who Sold the Time –Journey (Debut Solo Album)
After overseeing the compilation of Free-Spirit’s first three V/A releases it is now time for Journey to fully express the broad sweeps of his inner self, The Man Who Sold the Time capturing both the intensity and levity of modern living before releasing them in a celebration of the positivity of pure energy.
Journey, the trance project of Free-Spirit Records’ founder Jay OM, is a fusion of styles... glitch, breaksy percussion colliding with highly-filtered insectile sweeps and evolving rhythms, and more layers than a wedding cake. This, his debut album, maybe the result of all that’s gone before - with its influences from Psychedelic rock to 80’s electronica - but his time is now!
